FORECOURT SECTOR GETS EXTRA BOOST
Boost Drinks has appointed Dave Tighe as business development manager for the North, focusing predominantly on the forecourt sector. Dave has over 30 years’ experience of the grocery market, having worked on a broad portfolio of FMCG brands with Kerryfresh and Same Day Beers, and also having spent 15 years with Palmer & Harvey. His success has been very much a result of the effort and energy that he puts into customer relationships and good communications.
Dave told Forecourt Shop that: “I have admired Boost Drinks for a number of years and for a number of reasons so I was delighted when this opportunity came up. I think the scope for being a challenger brand is huge and having a genuine and unique selling proposition like the Champion Of The Independent positioning is really motivational.”
Dave’s arrival follows the recruitment of Martin Brenchley to look after the southern half of the country. Martin comments: “It’s great to be working with Dave and his wider industry experience is fantastic to have in the team. In the south, I’m certainly feeling the forecourt subsector is buoyant and growing, and I’m sure now that Dave is here, we can get even more reach for the Boost message across the UK.”
Boost sales director, Al Gunn, comments: “Forecourts are a key focus area for us and so we felt it was important to further invest in our dedicated team. Dave has a very impressive track record with a number of FMCG brands, and also has a thorough understanding of the convenience sector specifically – so we are really excited about welcoming him to the team, alongside Martin.”
