SIMON GRAY NAMED FINALIST AT DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS UK FINAL

Simon Gray, managing director of Leeds-based Boost Drinks, has fought of stiff competition to be named as a finalist at the much anticipated Director of The Year Awards UK Final

The prestigious ceremony, which will take place at the Lancaster London Hotel on Friday 23rd September, celebrates the crème de la crème of UK business.

The awards are open to directors across the business spectrum, that were previous winners of the regional awards, and Gray’s nomination for the ‘Young Director of the Year’ follows him being awarded the title at the (IoD) Institute of Directors Yorkshire and Humber - Director of Year Awards in 2010. 

This year’s UK final award categories include Director of the Year (large company) Director of the Year (SME) Global Director of the Year, Family Business Director of the Year, Director of the Year for Environmental Leadership, Director of the Year 2010 and the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Young Director of the Year award recognises the achievements of directors under the age of 42 who build and lead successful, growing and dynamic businesses in the UK and have achieved outstanding results over the last 12 months.

Speaking about the nomination Simon said: “I am obviously delighted to have been selected as a finalist at these high profile awards. To have won the regional award was a great achievement, but to have been selected as a UK finalist alongside the best in British business is a real honour, and I look forward to attending the awards ceremony and to celebrating with the other finalists in September.”
